ABSTRACT
To report a case of cutaneous metaplastic synovial cyst. A 14-year-old male patient presented with a cystic mass on the forehead for more than 6 months. Histopathological findings revealed an intradermal cystic structure with multiple intraluminal broad band-like villiform protuberances, which was lined with a membrane resembling hyperplastic synovium and composed of a variety of cellular structures; some areas of the cystic wall were covered with fibrin-like hyaline connective tissues, and some areas were highly cellularized and lined with multiple layers of epithelioid cells and spindle cells. Immunohistochemical study revealed diffuse expression of vimentin and positive staining for the histocyte marker CD68, but negative staining for cytokeratin and smooth muscle actin in epithelioid cells and spindle cells. According to the clinical manifestations and histopathological findings, the diagnosis of cutaneous metaplastic synovial cyst was confirmed.
ABSTRACT
A 44-year-old male patient presented with a subcutaneous nodule in the left little finger for 3 years. Skin examination showed a subcutaneous nodule with rubber-like hardness but no tenderness on palpation, measuring 0.4 cm × 0.4 cm in size at the dorsal distal aspect of the left little finger, and the movement of the distal interphalangeal joint was unrestricted. Postoperative histopathological examination revealed that the tumor contained abundant stroma consisting of variable fiberous, chondroid and myxoid materials; tumor cells were oval to short spindle-shaped with inconspicuous nucleoli but no mitosis; cells were arranged haphazardly or in small clusters. Immunohistochemical study showed positive staining for vimentin, CD34 and transcription factors ERG and SOX9, but negative staining for S100, P63, broad-spectrum cytokeratin AE1/AE3, epithelial membrane antigen, smooth muscle actin and desmin in tumor cells, and the Ki67 labeling index was below 1%. Finally, the patient was diagnosed with acral fibrochondromyxoid tumor.
ABSTRACT
Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of Ziyin-Heyang Decoction on the treatment of glucocorticoid-dependent primary immune thrombocytopenia. Methods:A total of 70 patients with ITP in Xiyuan Hospital of China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences from November 2015 to November 2017 who met the inclusion criteria were divided into two groups according to the random number table method. 33 cases in the treatment group and 32 cases in the control group completed the reaserch. The control group received standard dose of prednisone acetate orally, and the dose was gradually reduced according to platelet count; and the treatment group was given Ziyin-Heyang Decoction on the basis of the control group. Both groups had one course of treatment for 8 weeks, with a total of 2 courses of treatment. Before and after treatment, TCM syndrome score was performed, PLT was detected by impedance method, bleeding score was calculated, daily dosage of prednisone acetate tablets was recorded, and platelet related antibodies (PAIgA, PAIgG, PAIgM, PAIgD) were detected by flow cytometry. Then clinical and syndrome efficacy were evaluated. Results:The total effective rate was 75.8% (25/33) in the treatment group and 53.1% (17/32) in the control group, and the difference in efficacy was statistically significant ( Z=2.846, P<0.05). For the TCM syndromes, the total effective rate was 100.0% (33/33) in the treatment group and 75.0% (24/32) in the control group, and there was a statistical difference between them ( Z=3.841, P<0.05). After treatment, the platelet count improvement [(97.6 ± 39.9)×10 9/L vs. (70.9 ± 16.6)×10 9/L, t=3.540] of the treatment group was significantly higher than that of the control group ( P<0.05). The TCM syndrome score [6.00 (4.00) vs. 10.00 (6.00), Z=3.510] of the treatment group was significantly lower than that of the control group ( P<0.05). After the treatment, the dose of prednisone acetate tablets [5.00 (17.50) mg/d vs. 27.66 (11.98) mg/d, Z=4.186] of the treatment group was significantly lower than that of the control group ( P<0.05). Bleeding score decreased in both groups, but there was no significant difference between them ( P>0.05). There was no statistically significant change in platelet related antibody levels in the treatment group before and after treatment ( P>0.05). Conclusions:The Ziyin-Heyang Decoction has advantages in improving platelet count, with drawing glucocorticoid and improving symptoms.
ABSTRACT
Objective To explore the effect of videos on health education to the spinal surgery patients during perioperative period. Methods About 99 patients with lumbar, cervical vertebra disease were randomized into two groups with random digit number:50 in the experimental group and 49 in the control group. Videos was used in the health education combined with routine health education model of perioperative health education in the former group and the health education was done in regular way in the control group. The two groups were compared in terms of hospital nursing service awareness, rehabilitation knowledge awareness, accuracy in perioperative nursing skill. Result The rate of knowledge about hospitalization nursing and the accuracy of rehabilitation nursing skills were significantly higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusions Video-assisted health education has changed the traditional way for health education, It is helpful for nurses to better implement health education program. It is beneficial for patients to strengthen memory. It can improve the perioperative knowledge and the accuracy in rehabilitation nursing skills.

<p><b>UNLABELLED</b>Forty SD rats were divided into 5 groups: control group, SP groups (5 microg/kg,10 microg/kg, 20 microg/kg) and spantide II plus SP group. An analysis of heart rate variability (HRV) was used to detect the changes of HRV parameters before and after intravenous injection of SP in order to investigate the effect of substance P on cardiac autonomic nervous function and the corresponding mechanism.</p><p><b>RESULTS</b>(1) There were significant differences in most HRV parameters for the three different doses of SP. Mean heart period (MHP), absolute power of ultra-low frequency and high frequency band (APU, APH), total power (TPV) and ratio of power in ultra-low to high frequency band (RUH) increased, while mean heart rate (MHR) and chaos intensity (HCC) decreased during the 30 minutes. Each peak amplitude of HRV parameters went higher and showed up ahead of the upward doses of SP. (2) Significant change was seen in each of the parameters between spantide II plus SP group and high-dose SP group. These data idicate that, after intravenous injection of different doses of SP, both cardiac sympathetic nervous system activity and parasympathetic nervous system activity increase, and the function of cardiac autonomic nervous becomes instable and unbalanced. The effect of SP may be dose dependent, and it is possibly mediated by neurokinin-1(NK-1) receptor.</p>

The present report is concerned with the surface structure of the metacercaria of Pa-ragonimus iloktsuenensis as visualized with the scanning electron microscopy. The meta-cercariae were obtained from the liver of tne Sesarma dehaani collected in Yingkou county, Liaoning Province.The tegumental spines of the metacercaria are single-pointed and densely distributed over the entire body and are slightly different in size and shape in different parts of the body. On the forebody of the ventral surface, a vertical ridgeline can be seen in the middle of the spines.In addition to the short spines, there are two circles of non-ciliated papillae on both lips of the oral and the ventral suckers. Around the oral sucker, there are 12 papillae on the outer circle and 6 on the inner circle; around the ventral sucker, there are 6 papillae on both the outer and inner circles. No sensory papillae were found around the ventral sucker. On each side of the anterior part of the ventral side, 8 to 10 pairs of papillae are arranged in two rows.

Objective:To study the effect of substance P on sensation afferent of gastrointestinal tract and the corresponding mechanism.
